The Missouri Tigers are barely clinging to a chance at the College Football Playoff after surviving a tough test from the Oklahoma Sooners over the weekend and pulling away with a 30-23 win.
Missouri’s chances are slim, but despite two losses this season, their hopes are still alive based on the current SEC standings.
Injuries have ravaged the Tigers of late, though. Quarterback Brady Cook missed the Oklahoma win with a foot injury that has plagued him for the past month.
The Tigers added another upperclassman to the season’s injury report Monday, as ESPN’s Pete Thamel reported that center Connor Tollison would miss the rest of the season with a knee injury he suffered against Oklahoma.
Sources: Missouri redshirt junior center Connor Tollison is out for the rest of the season with a knee injury, which he suffered against Oklahoma on Saturday. He’s one of the country’s top centers, as he’s started 34 games for Missouri and is considered an NFL Draft prospect. pic.twitter.com/EayCPSa5re

It’s unclear what Tollison’s specific injury is or how long the recovery time will take. It will be interesting to see if the injury leads to the player spending one more year with Mizzou, or taking his chances in the NFL Draft.
Mizzou will turn to backup center Drake Heismeyer for the rest of the year, just as they did in the victory over Oklahoma.
