Good news: Texas baseball signed a left-handed pitching recruit who’s 6’9 and throws a 100+ MPH as a high school senior.
Bad news: Texas baseball will be competing with 30 MLB teams to sign him next season.
Texas commit Brody Bumila made a statement in his first start.👀
The 6’9 lefty touched 100 MPH and struck out all six batters he faced 🔥💪

Brody Bumila, who is on a pitch count following Tommy John surgery two years ago, touched 100 MPH while striking out all six batters he faced.
Nearly 30 MLB scouts were in attendance to watch him pitch.
Some fans are wondering if he’ll ever even attend college at this point:
Left handed and 100mph. Yeah bro is never seeing a classroom https://t.co/VOmxcBdmuw

The number of radar guns in the stands says no way this guy ever enrolls at Texas. https://t.co/Eg7bClr5sq

Other fans’ thoughts were with the poor batters who had to face him:
That must feel like standing in front of the gates of Hell for a 17-year old. https://t.co/45yvDfzJJ8

Nobody is giving his catcher credit for catching 100mph in HS.

Texas will have to wait and see if they’ll ever actually get to use the generational pitcher who’s committed to the school.
