In the ever-changing world of college football, tradition still means everything.
Army/Navy, which has been played on its own weekend in December for nearly two decades, is the latest rivalry whose schedule is up in the air, with backing from President Donald Trump.
NEW: Army HC Jeff Monken wants to move the Army/Navy game to Thanksgiving Weekend.
Monken says the new time slot could give the game more exposure.

With the College Football Playoff potentially expanding and media voices pushing for tighter scheduling, December’s standalone window for the Army/Navy game looks like an obvious place to reclaim time. But is it worth stripping one of the sport’s most meaningful traditions of its exclusive stage?
Social media doesn’t think so.
Not a single person here talking about how this will ruin mids and cadets Thanksgiving Leave periods, because they have to attend the game.
It’s our game, don’t ruin it.

Terrible call. It has its whole weekend. Why would you want to compete with the top viewed games of the regular season

More exposure? Has he seen the college football calendar for that weekend? Army/Navy having their own weekend is the best thing for exposure. https://t.co/XcCap3nDvK
