Does Anybody Want The North Carolina Head Coaching Job?

For a legendary program like the University of North Carolina, they sure are having a tough time finding a coach.

UNC’s top choice, Arizona’s Tommy Lloyd, just announced an extension to stay with the Wildcats’ long term, leaving UNC with another less option as they desperately need a home-run hire.

After promoting Hubert Davis to head coach following Roy Williams’ retirement, UNC’s safe choice proved wrong, and the experimental hires by programs like Arizona (Lloyd), Michigan (Dusty May), and Illinois (Brad Underwood) catapulted those programs way ahead of the waning Tar Heels’ dominance.

Now, UNC may need to dig a little deeper.

With the transfer portal opening on April 7, time is beginning to be a factor in the long-search for a head coach.

One fan has a suggestion.

Who will be the next UNC coach? And more importantly, what is UNC doing that no one wants to come take a job at what once was one of the most premier destinations in college basketball?
