Is Dan Hurley the Best Coach in College Basketball? The Answer Should Be Obvious

Love him or hate him, Dan Hurley is a winner.

Hurley extended his NCAA Tournament record to 19-5 as head coach, as he looks to win his THIRD National Championship in the past four seasons.

Despite a truly poor first half and falling behind by 19 at one point, Hurley never gave up on his guys and coached them hard to a (literal) final-second win against Duke.

Teams down 15 at half to a No. 1 seed were 0-134 in the Tournament, until last night.

The internet, which famously gives Hurley a hard time for his antics, also praised the incredible work he is doing at UConn.

Despite his antics and hard-nosed approach, Hurley talked about his coaching style and how he gets the most out of his guys, proven with his two National Championships:

If he wasn’t already, an Elite Eight win against a superior Duke team has cemented Hurley as the best coach currently in college basketball.
