Paul Skenes, Griffin Jax Pay For Air Force Baseball To Attend USA-Mexico Game

Two Air Force alums are floating the bill for the school’s baseball team to attend the USA-Mexico World Baseball Classic showdown.

Paul Skenes and Griffin Jax, who both played baseball at the Air Force Academy, are giving the team a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to watch one of baseball’s most premier events this year in person.

Jax, who plays professional baseball for the Tampa Bay Rays, attended the Academy for three years and is an officer in the United States Air Force Reserve.

Skenes attended the school for two years before transferring to LSU and winning the College World Series.

Both Skenes and Jax received praise online for their gesture.

Paul Skenes starts on the mound as the United States looks for its first victory over Mexico since 2006.
