After finishing 2-0 against Michigan State this season, Michigan fans had a little fun while chanting “little brother” at the Michigan State team.
In typical Tom Izzo fashion, he did not find this humorous.
Tom Izzo’s opening statement after Michigan State’s loss at Michigan 😳
“I guess the crowd didn’t watch the game, because I’m nobody’s damn little brother. And neither is my team.”

Michigan State lost both meetings to Michigan this season by double-digits, and with another dirty play by Spartans guard Jeremy Fears Jr., the Michigan crowd was amped to get at the rival team.

Izzo’s lack of humor did not resonate with fans online.
I’m sure Michigan fans and students will respect this and refrain from chanting “little brother” in the years to come https://t.co/zxSW1hc4Di

Izzo plays the victim so often if he was an actor most would describe him as typecast.

If we learned anything from Sunday’s game, it’s that the crowd can very easily get under the Spartan head coach’s skin.
