With college football in the rearview and hoops nearing its peak, the 2026 college baseball season has burst out of the gates with an incredible start.
With parity in baseball being such an issue at the professional level, fans love that college baseball has been able to stay pure in a money-dominated sports world.
What stands out about these upsets? That’s right, the regionalism.
Some sports run from that, but college baseball embraces it and that’s what makes it the best. https://t.co/xE6n0Gj8y1

Despite the strong start to the season, college baseball coverage still has a long way to go.
ESPN still lacks a dedicated college baseball hub with consistently updated live games and box scores, something fans already get with football and basketball.

Why doesn’t ESPN allow you to follow a college baseball team or actually keep up with games?

With a long way to go in the season, will the surge of popularity and parity in college baseball lead to better coverage?
