Assistant Coach Kevin Mays is being accused of moonlighting as a pimp across four states. Rod Barnes, former head coach of the Roadrunners, received an anonymous email in August accusing Mays of trafficking women, which he forwarded to school leadership. Both Barnes and athletic director Kyle Condor left their roles in September without reason.
Mays now faces a lengthy list of felony and misdemeanor charges, while Cal State Bakersfield’s reputation may be permanently scarred by the crime’s virality.
