No team has taken kindly to a bat slam after a big home run.
Texas A&M won’t be an exclusion in this story.
This is peak college baseball pettiness:
– Oklahoma’s Jaxon Willits hits HR & spike bat in front of Texas A&M dugout
– Texas A&M head coach Michael Earley chucks the bat toward the backstop
– Earley & Oklahoma’s coaching staff exchange F-bombs

After an Oklahoma home run and subsequent bat slam, courtesy of Jaxon Willits, Texas A&M head coach Michael Earley took exception and returned the bat in an… aggressive manner.
Despite Earley throwing the Oklahoma bat back towards home base, it was Willits who was ejected from the game for his antics celebrating the home run, not the Aggies’ lead man.
Tossing a kid for slamming a bat is the weakest thing an Ump can do. The game is about the players not the UMPS get a life! At the very least toss the A$M coach for throwing the bat away from the manager!

So Jaxon gets tossed for that but the a&m coach gets to stay for throwing the bat away from the manager? Wild.

One person did walk away from this exchange with a smile on their face.
Kiddo was happy to get a ball. Thank you Jaxon! pic.twitter.com/05QAf9dTwL

Oklahoma took the game 8-7 to improve to 16-2 on the season, and 1-0 in SEC play.
