They are preparing for Argentina’s prominent pre-World Cup friendly match against Honduras. The match is scheduled to take place at Texas A&M’s Kyle Field, which has been temporarily transformed from a football stadium into a soccer stadium.
With Kyle Field accommodating 102,733 spectators, Saturday night’s game has the potential to attract the largest live audience of Messi’s illustrious career, officially surpassing the capacity of Barcelona’s Camp Nou (99,354).
Head coach Lionel Scaloni shared that although Messi is recovering from minor hamstring fatigue, he is confirmed in the starting lineup and is expected to participate for at least some of the match.
