ESPN Removing Bottom Ticker Splits Shakes Up Internet

ESPN has once again divided the Internet.

The Worldwide Leader has decided to eliminate the BottomLine ticket on college football broadcasts, sparking strong reactions on both sides.

Some cheered the decision, claiming that the ticker clutters the screen and is outdated in the era of smart phones where fans can track scores continuously.

Others jeered the ticker’s elimination, saying it’s still a great way to keep tabs on other games and so ingrained in broadcasts it’s now nostalgic.
