The USC Trojans earned yet another dispiriting loss this past weekend. SC fell to familiar foe Washington in Seattle as Southern California’s bad times continued to roll on. Head coach Lincoln Riley is feeling the heat and then some right now. That’s evident any time the Trojans lose, and their first year in the Big Ten has brought a lot of losses along with it.
Riley sounded off following the 26-21 defeat to the 5-4 Huskies.
“I don’t handle losing very well. It hasn’t happened much in my career. Our team, that part is unacceptable,” Riley said at his press conference.
“Now, is there, through that, when you really look at it, is there progress?” Riley pondered. “Is there push? Have we had a chance to win every game? The answer to all those is undoubtedly yes.”
Still, Riley stressed that the team still has to do more to get the wins it wants. USC has indeed been a bitsnakebitten. But all in all, it’s made for a highly frustrating ordeal for Trojans fans and the team.
USC has work to do if they want to avoid missing a bowl game. Riley will have to right the ship quickly as opportunities for wins are drying up. USC has Nebraska, UCLA, and 10th-ranked Notre Dame remaining on their schedule. If they can win two,
