Texas Women’s Basketball Head Coach Crushes Team After Loss: ‘We Have No Heart’

A 23-3 record and a No. 4 ranking in the country is not enough for Texas women’s basketball head coach Vic Schaefer.

After losing by 16 to No. 5 Vanderbilt, Schaefer had choice words for his roster.

Schaefer, who has led the Longhorns since 2020, has guided the program to the NCAA Tournament in each of his five seasons, highlighted by a Final Four appearance last year and three trips to the Elite Eight.

Last night’s loss to Vanderbilt was one of the worst in his six seasons at the helm.

Will Schaefer’s comments light a fire under his team just in time for a deep run in March Madness or is Texas trending down at the worst possible time?
