Big Ten Looks For First Men’s Basketball National Title Since 2000

After dominating the football world for the past three seasons (Michigan, Ohio State, Indiana), it seems the Big Ten has its eyes set on basketball.

Michigan, Purdue, Illinois, and Iowa are representing the Big Ten in the Elite Eight, as all four schools look to become the first Big Ten team to win the men’s basketball national championship since Tom Izzo’s Michigan State squad in 2000.

Arizona (Big 12) is the odds-on favorite to win the Tournament, with Michigan a close second. Illinois has the fourth-best odds, while Purdue and Iowa are considered long shots (via Fanduel).

Will this be the first time that a Men's Big Ten basketball team takes home a National Championship in over two decades?
