Paired with the black uniforms is TCU’s signature “Clover Frog” helmet. The logo pays tribute to the helmets worn during the 2011 Rose Bowl victory, replacing the original rose in the Horned Frog’s mouth with a four-leaf clover, symbolizing the trip to Ireland.

Some critics argued that the new collar, intended to mimic the horned ridges from the team logo, appears messy or too generic. Meanwhile, a few fans humorously called the pattern “Temu spikes” or squiggly lines.
