The Georgia Bulldogs scored a huge victory over the previously top-ranked Texas Longhorns Saturday night. But ater the game, people couldn’t stop talking about what Kirby Smart had to say.
Apparently, the Georgia Bulldogs head coach wasn’t fond of the way the network perceived the Bulldogs going into the week.
Smart was so mad about it that he took a shot at the network following their 30-15 win.
Kirby Smart after Georgia defeats Texas 30-15 tells ESPN: “Your whole network doubted us, and the refs tried to rob us with calls in this place.”

“Kirby Smart after Georgia defeats Texas 30-15 tells ESPN: ‘Your whole network doubted us,'” Smart jabbed via Bruce Feldman. He added, “And the refs tried to rob us with calls in this place.”
Several had no issue reacting to Smart’s call out of the network. Reaction was pretty split down the middle on what the Georgia coach had to say.

Is there a single SEC football fan that thinks the Refs™ are doing a good job? https://t.co/GGVP0ZiQEi

The refs held UGA players accountable for their actions, something UGA coaches know little about. https://t.co/oSSzWkQpRs

The art of motivation is sometimes pretty funny. Any “doubt” that can be cast down on Georgia may have existed, but they’re a Top 5 team. And in the new poll, they rank second, only behind the top-ranked Oregon Ducks.
So it’s a bit manufactured but fiery nonetheless. And it’s hard to really be too upset over it. Whatever motivation tactics were used clearly worked for the Bulldogs, who beat the Longhorns down Saturday night in Austin.
