The Clemson Tigers have high expectations again in 2024. After dominating college football in the latter 2010s, the Tigers have been deterred a bit. But this season, Dabo Swinney and Co. hope to turn things around and get Clemson back to the summit. Quarterback Cade Klubnik is yet another talented quarterback in orange and white and has already shown promise under center.
Klubnik addressed the media following Tuesday’s practice and described the differences between this year’s and last year’s teams.
“I think we’ve just had a really good mindset more than anything,” Klubnik said. “I think that, first of all, we were a really young team last year. It’s a team that’s just a lot smarter and an offense that, for me personally, having a year under my belt, just a smarter football team. Guys that have a little more experience all over when it comes to receivers, offensive line, quarterback, and running back. A lot of guys that have played a lot of ball now and a lot of returning starters.”
He continued, “Getting to come back in the same offense again is huge. Not having to have your first fall camp in a new offense and kind of getting to run things you’ve already been running. It’s huge. That’s been huge for us.”
Klubnik and the Tigers begin the 2024 college football season on August 31 against the mighty Georgia Bulldogs, the top-ranked team in the country.
