ESPN, Pat McAfee Negotiating Historic Contract Extension

ESPN is going all-in on Pat McAfee. The former West Virginia kicker & Indianapolis Colts punter is reportedly negotiating a new deal worth $60 million per year.

If finalized, this new deal will position McAfee as the highest-paid figure in sports media history. His current five-year contract runs until 2028, but ESPN executives are working to secure a long-term agreement with him.

The significant increase in his current salary is anticipated to accompany a broader role in ESPN’s NFL coverage and other major studio events.

Depending on whom you ask, the polarizing McAfee has either saved ESPN & “College GameDay” or helped destroy them.
