The Longhorns joined the SEC this past offseason after decades in the Big Eight and then the Big 12. It didn’t take them very long to grab a conference championship either. Football hopes to do the same, but the Longhorns football team has work to still do this year. They have a premier matchup with longtime rival Texas A&M at the end of the year that will revive a dormant and relentless rivalry.
Nevertheless, it was celebration time in Austin on Saturday. Congrats to Texas.
