A celebration broke out as big as Texas online. Longhorns fans got to boast about the athletic program’s first SEC title.

The Longhorns joined the SEC this past offseason after decades in the Big Eight and then the Big 12. It didn’t take them very long to grab a conference championship either. Football hopes to do the same, but the Longhorns football team has work to still do this year. They have a premier matchup with longtime rival Texas A&M at the end of the year that will revive a dormant and relentless rivalry.
Texas has never been shy about winning. We’ll see if this is just the start of a successful stint in the SEC for the Longhorns across the board.
Nevertheless, it was celebration time in Austin on Saturday. Congrats to the Longhorns!
