It’s November in college football. Conference championships are on the verge of being decided, and seasons are winding down. Decisions will need to be made across the board. That includes the players, and some areas are already positioning themselves to springboard this offseason. In other words, who is going to enter the transfer portal? On Tuesday, we learned yet another name.

Maryland Terrapins tight end Leron Husbands will enter the NCAA transfer portal. On3 reported the news on Tuesday morning.

Maryland’s Leron Husbands has entered his name into the NCAA Transfer Portal. On3’s Pete Nakos reported his entry into the portal on Tuesday morning,” On3 wrote.

Husbands was a former three-star tight end committed to Maryland several years ago. However, his time in College Park hasn’t worked out quite as well as he wanted it to. The team has struggled, and Husbands received limited playing time as a Terp. His Sports-Reference page is, well, completely barren.

On3 now lists him as the second-ranked tight end in the transfer portal. So clearly, they still think there’s a lot of untapped potential there. With nothing on his ledger to show for, it’s hard to dissuade yourself from that thought.

Best of luck to him in finding a new home. He won’t be the last to declare their entry into the transfer portal. Time will only tell to see if even more talented players arrive.
