We have bad news for everybody who loved Baker Mayfield planting the “OU” flag in Ohio Stadium after Oklahoma’s 31-16 win on Saturday night:
Mayfield apologized for the act on Monday, likely forced into doing so by head coach Lincoln Riley or someone in the athletic department.
We can only hope Mayfield later rectifies the situation by apologizing for apologizing because The Plant was the most entertaining part of the 2017 college football season so far:
No. Don’t apologize, Baker. Don’t do that. Be a heel. Embrace the hate. That’s why we love you. pic.twitter.com/NV6aReInj9
