Jessica Fields, a touted women’s college basketball recruit, announced her commitment on Sunday. However, Justin Fields’ sister will not attend Ohio State University like he did. Instead, she announced her intentions to attend rival Michigan.

“I am excited and blessed to announce my commitment to the University of Michigan!” Fields boasted in an announcement she penned in a graphic. “I want to thank all the coaches who have put their time into recruiting me, my teammates, who are always by my side, my coaches and trainers for crafting me into the player I am, and my family for being my support system through everything.”

The Fields family has made an impact in college sports over the years. Justin, of course, originally attended the University of Georgia before transferring to Ohio State. Fields led OSU to two College Football Playoff appearances and a runner-up finish in 2020.

Meanwhile, Jaiden Fields was an illustrious softball player at the University of Georgia. She recently attended a WWE tryout in Cleveland, Ohio, as part of the company’s SummerSlam weekend. While she attended Georgia, Fields also participated in the pro wrestling company’s NIL program, “Next In Line.”

This just goes to show that sometimes, it doesn’t matter where your family attends school. In a humorous way, this commitment is why college sports can be among the most amusing things. Despite the fierce Michigan-Ohio State rivalry, you still see those who go across the tracks.
