The Michigan Wolverines landed an elite commit out of Texas this week. Class of 2025 wide receiver Andrew Marsh announced his commitment to Sherrone Moore and the Michigan program.

The Wolverines hauled Marsh in out of suburban Houston, as he’s a native of the small town of Katy, Texas.

On3’s Hayes Fawcett posted about Marsh’s commitment news.

“The 6’1 180 WR from Katy, TX chose the Wolverines over Washington, Texas, USC, & Colorado,” Fawcett posted.

Michigan beat out some strong competition for Marsh. Obviously, scoring a recruiting win over Texas for a Texas native is a big deal. They also earned a recruiting win over two of their newest Big Ten counterparts: the Washington Huskies and USC Trojans. Finally, scoring a win over Deion Sanders and Colorado isn’t so bad either.

The Wolverines won the 2023 College Football Playoff in a 15-0 campaign. Michigan’s title win was the program’s first since the split championship they won in the 1997 season. That year, of course, is special for Wolverines fans since Charles Woodson became the first and so far only defensive player to ever win the Heisman Trophy.

Michigan hopes to stay hot on the recruiting trail to keep up with their Big Ten foes.
