Michigan running back Kalel Mullings had another terrific showing on Saturday afternoon, and Oregon wide receiver Tez Johnson was superb on Saturday night. Because of their performances, the Big Ten made it easy on themselves.
On Monday, the Big Ten announced that Johnson and Mullings earned co-Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week honors. Johnson and Mullings’ superb outings against Minnesota and UCLA received strong recognition, and they certainly earned it.
The Big Ten announced its choices on X, the website formerly known as Twitter.

Both Michigan and Oregon handled business on Saturday. The Wolverines kept hold of the Little Brown Jug with a defeat of longtime rival Minnesota. The Ducks dismantled familiar foe UCLA in their conference opener. Oregon won 34-13 at the Rose Bowl, a familiar venue for the Ducks.
Oregon will play two of Michigan’s biggest rivals in each of the next two weeks. The Ducks host Michigan State this Friday and then host Ohio State in a premier primetime matchup on Saturday, October 12. We’ll know a lot about Oregon after that matchup against the Buckeyes.
Michigan, meanwhile, will hope to forge ahead. They, funnily enough, play Oregon’s biggest rival, Washington, in a National Championship Rematch this Saturday in Seattle. The Wolverines then have a bye week before playing currently unbeaten Illinois, a surprise team in the conference this year.
