Everyone, including several of her peers, took note of UConn star Paige Bueckers’ “World Tour” this summer.

Flau’jae Johnson, a former LSU Tigers women’s team star player and one of the most prominent student-athletes to take advantage of NIL, chimed in on Bueckers as she discussed the WNBA Finals between the New York Liberty and Minnesota Lynx.

Johnson noted that she won’t be able to attend the WNBA Finals between the two teams. “But no, I won’t be making it into a game. See, I’m not like Paige Bueckers,” she joked on the Best of Both Worlds podcast she hosts. “I can’t be in and out like that, you know what I’m saying? I gotta be at school; I gotta be at class.”

Bueckers made several appearances around the country at WNBA games and other pro sports events. She herself noted that it wasn’t all that she did, and that people didn’t see the “work tour.” Naturally, Johnson was just teasing, but she has a lot on her plate as well.

“I already do music, so I gotta be on this grind. Coach Mo would be looking at me crazy, so I gotta stay locked in. I think Paige got a jet, I ain’t gonna lie. Paige gonna be at one of the games—I’ll tell you that.”

Johnson and LSU will have plenty of attention on them this year, as will Bueckers and the Huskies.
