The Ole Miss Rebels got back in the win column over the weekend with a 26-14 win over the Oklahoma Sooners in Oxford.
While Kiffin discussed the win during his weekly media availability on Monday, he also mentioned something that has been bugging him.
Ole Miss’ November 9 showdown against the Georgia Bulldogs was announced as a 3:30 p.m. ET kickoff. Kiffin, being informed of this fact, correctly guessed that the LSU Tigers got the night game that week for their meeting with the Alabama Crimson Tide.
“So, who went at night? LSU gets to play at night again, I guess? Shocker. That’s two for two for them. “I feel bad for our fans not having one night conference game. It’s really unfortunate for them. So, whatever. It’s just really disappointing but it is what it is.” Kiffin said.
Due to the blistering conditions in Louisiana during the early portions of the season, LSU always seems to get an excessive amount of night games.
Kiffin sees the home night game to be an advantage that you don’t get in early or mid-afternoon games.
Ole Miss won’t play another home night game this season, either. The SEC has already confirmed that the team’s November 29 Egg Bowl meeting with the Mississippi State Bulldogs will also kick off at 3:30 p.m..
