The Alabama Crimson Tide went through their second bye week of the season last week and are now ready for a final stretch that begins this Saturday with a showdown against the LSU Tigers in Baton Rouge.

A loss for Alabama will likely snuff out any remaining hopes the team has of making the SEC Championship or College Football Playoff, as it would be the Tide’s third loss in conference play. A loss for LSU would knock the Tigers from the handful of one-loss SEC teams into the gulf of two-loss SEC teams.

While both sides are fairly healthy, Alabama will be without one of their skill players.

During Monday’s media availability, head coach Kalen DeBoer announced that PR/WR Cole Adams would be done for the season after suffering an injury in Alabama’s October 26 win over the Missouri Tigers.

“With his injury, he’ll be out for the year. We had to deal with that last week, and unfortunate, because Cole’s a guy that pours everything into it. He had an injury early in the season. Honestly, at the time, we probably thought that was gonna be something more significant as far as the time frame with the first one. Just seeing the effort he put into that first injury, you really found out a lot about who he was as a person and as a player,” DeBoer said.

In 2024, Adams hauled in six receptions for 94 yards and returned 11 punts for 58 yards.
