While there might have been doubt at first, the Alabama Crimson Tide have been dominant this season.

Legendary head coach Nick Saban retired after the 2023 college football season. The Crimson Tide hired Washington head coach Kalen DeBoer away from the Huskies to replace Saban, who won six National Championships at the university.

So far, so good. Fox’s Joel Klatt, who got to cover the Crimson Tide’s latest effort and win over Wisconsin this past Saturday, discussed the Tide on The Joel Klatt Show on Tuesday.

“Let’s talk about Alabama. First of all, that was really impressive,” Klatt said. He gave his well wishes to quarterback Tyler Van Dyke, whose season came to an end after he tore his ACL.

He praised Jalen Milroe, “Maybe the best athlete on the field at every moment this season.,” and the seventeen-year-old phenom Ryan Williams.

Klat touted Alabama’s offense, which has scored eleven touchdowns of 25+ yards, the most in college football. He waxed poetic about how all of their skill position players can ‘take it the distance.’

Head coach Kalen DeBoer has a talented group around him again, and three weeks into the year, it seems like that ship is still humming in the right direction. Klatt thinks the team will still be able to score at will due to how explosive their offense is.

Klatt voiced concerns about how the Crimson Tide will fare against elite teams, especially their secondary, but so far, he believes that offense will keep them in the right place.
