The Purdue Boilermakers are having a tough time on Saturday. They are hosting Penn State, and the Nittany Lions have made easy work of them. It didn’t help matters later when Purdue committed an epic fail on offense.
Purdue receiver De’Nylon Morrissette tried to put himself in position to catch a touchdown pass against Penn State. Morrissette positioned himself, stood firm, and caught the ball. But there was only one problem:
Morrisette wasn’t in the end zone.
The WR didn’t realize he was standing behind the pylon 😅 pic.twitter.com/jvdpT2h7fS

He did everything right… except be in bounds and in front of the pylon. That embarrassing moment unsurprisingly went around, and in his defense, Purdue’s choice to paint the end zone like that was probably a mistake. Many pointed that out in their reaction to the play.
Probably should’ve thought the color scheme through a bit more https://t.co/e6gvSdp92r

Getting confused by your own home field endzone just make sense as to why Purdue is 1-8. Team is so unfamiliar with scoring https://t.co/FkqoPu7KGL

It hasn’t been the easiest day or the easiest season for Purdue. That didn’t get much better in this moment against Penn State.
