Nebraska Cornhuskers freshman Dylan Raiola is expected to play this weekend.
Raiola suffered an injury in the Corhuskers’ frustrating loss to the UCLA Bruins this weekend. With a pivotal matchup against USC approaching, the freshman star will indeed push to play.
“Nebraska QB Dylan Raiola is expected to be healthy to return for Nebraska’s next game, which is at USC on Nov. 16,” ESPN’s Pete Thamel wrote on X.

The extra rest Raiola will get here is going to be a huge factor to his success in getting back on the field. The bye week couldn’t have come at a better time for the Huskers. Nebraska started off the season right and with promise. But since then, things have come toppling down. They’ve lost four of their last six, including three ranked matchups against Illinois, Ohio State, and Indiana. Thus far, Matt Rhule’s Huskers haven’t been able to match with the big boys of the conference yet.
But whatever the case, there’s still time to preserve the season. Nebraska has three games remaining on its schedule against USC, Wisconsin, and Iowa. All three games are extremely winnable for this team. They still have an outside shot at 10 wins, which would be a remarkable step forward for the program. But a lot of it will depend on how they finish. Also, it may depend on Raiola and his health.
