This week, Ryan Day and the Ohio State Buckeyes made a significant move to bolster their offensive line in the future.
2025 four-star offensive lineman Jayvon McFadden of Upper Marlboro, Maryland, committed to the Buckeyes this week after taking multiple official visits to Columbus this year.
“Columbus was good, man,” “It’s always good to get down there and just feel the vibe with Coach Day and Coach Frye. But this right here, this was probably my best one yet. This one right here, it kind of just let me know exactly how they feel about me. And how I fit the system at Ohio State,” McFadden told Lettermen Row via On3
The four-star lineman also explained how Ohio State’s treatment of his family during his official visit swayed his decision.
“It was great, man. I couldn’t even really put it into words. The energy was there and it was just an overall good visit. My family liked it. It was an overall good visit for us.”
McFadden is Ohio State’s 24th commit in the class of 2025 and their third offensive lineman to commit. Additionally, he’s the second Maryland native in Ohio State’s class of 2025. He also held offers from the Tennessee Volunteers, Colorado Buffaloes, Penn State Nittany Lions, and others.
Ohio State currently has the top-ranked class of 2025 in ESPN’s rankings.
