Saturday was another miserable day for the Florida State Seminoles. After their bye week last week, the Seminoles played the Memphis Tigers on the heels of two early defeats. FSU couldn’t get the job done once again though. The ‘Noles fell to 0-3 on the year after the Tigers defeated them on Saturday afternoon.

Florida State’s loss was historic for the wrong reasons. No team in AP poll history that began the year in the Top 10 had ever started 0-3 against three unranked opponents before Saturday’s 20-12 loss for the ‘Noles.

“FSU is 0-3 for only the third time in history — and the second time under Mike Norvell (2021, 2024),” he also added.

The ‘Noles have had a rough 2024. After the CFP committee snubbed them last year, Florida State lost big to Georgia in the Orange Bowl. They then dealt with an entire offseason of crowing and also filed a lawsuit against the ACC. Now they’ve started the year as dismally as they could. It’s not great, but there are plenty that have taken a great deal of enjoyment out of their struggles.
