The Georgia Bulldogs may be getting some big news. All-SEC linebacker Smael Mondon hasn’t played for the Bulldogs since their loss to Alabama. But on Wednesday’s injury report, Mondon appeared closer to playing again than he isn’t.

The Dawgs considered the 2023 All-SEC Second Team selection as “questionable” on the Wednesday injury report ahead of UGA’s tussle with Ole Miss this weekend. This important conference matchup could have major implications for the race to Atlanta. So every piece is important.

“Georgia LB Smael Mondon is listed as questionable for the Ole Miss game. He hasn’t played since the Alabama game on Sept. 28,” Pete Thamel said.

Thamel also noted that Jordan Hall, a Georgia defensive lineman, is listed as probable on the injury report. That’s particularly good news for the Dawgs against a high-powered Ole Miss offense.

Mondon was an All-SEC Second Team selection for the Coaches team in 2023.

Georgia will be tested again this weekend. Their offensive inconsistencies have seen optimism reduce a bit, even with all their talent. Carson Beck and his abruptly poor play has caused some fans to shriek. This team has far too much talent to keep playing this way though, so we’ll see how things shake out.
