The Hawaii Rainbow Warriors and Delaware State will play football this Saturday. However, that game might be in peril due to circumstances beyond their control.
Delaware State had to deal with a tumultuous situation ahead of their game against Hawaii this weekend. According to Stephen Tsai, a spokeswoman for the Hornets said that the team missed a 10.5-hour flight out west after a snafu occurred with a bus at JFK Airport in New York City.
Tsai posted the news, and credited Hawaii radio host Gary Terp for the news, on X, the website formerly known as Twitter.

Obviously, this is is a fluid situation, and it seems the sides are trying to make it work. It would be a terribly unfortunate situation if the Hornets weren’t able to make it happen. So here’s hoping that everything stays according to plan out there.
Hawaii and Delaware State are still slated for an 6 p.m. local time kickoff on Saturday, August 24. We’ll see if the flight drama turns out right for the Hornets.
