Fox’s Joel Klatt named who he believes is the best team in the country. On Monday’s episode of The Joel Klatt Show, the lead Fox color analyst declared that the Oregon Ducks were the nation’s top team.

The 9-0 Ducks haven’t wilted under the pressure yet this year. After a sluggish start, Oregon retooled its offensive line and they’ve been off to the races. Dillon Gabriel has played like a Heisman Trophy candidate, as many expected him to. The offense has looked great, and the defense has been outstanding. They scored a marquee win over Ohio State in October, one of the program’s biggest wins of all time.

After their 38-17 win over Michigan at the Big House on Saturday, Klatt declared Oregon as the best team in the country in his rankings, and considers them the nation’s most complete team.

“I think that they are, right now, as complete a team in the country,” Klatt said about Oregon. He waxed poetic about quarterback Dillon Gabriel, who Klatt would name as a Heisman Trophy finalist today.

Klatt noted that their outstanding receiving corp, speed, and catch ability make them difficult to defend. Evan Stewart and Traeshon Holden, who made his way back after a spitting incident against Ohio State, were two names Klatt specifically remarked about.

He then also praised Oregon for their work on the offensive line before he once again declared the Ducks as the top team in the nation.

So far, it’s hard to argue against that.
