Kirk Herbstreit is never bashful about sharing his feelings about Ohio State fans, good or bad.

The Buckeyes left Eugene this past weekend with a 32-31 loss to the Oregon Ducks. The third-ranked Ducks picked off the second-ranked Buckeyes in one of the most anticipated games on the college football schedule.

After the loss, Ohio State fans criticized head coach Ryan Day, having seen them lose to yet another AP Top 5 team. Quarterback Will Howard also felt the brunt of criticism for handling the late-game situation like he did. While Oregon took advantage of a “loophole” that put OSU in a predicament, Howard’s late-second scramble and dive with no time remaining appeared baffling to many.

Herbstreit joined The Pat McAfee Show on Thursday before calling Denver-New Orleans on Thursday Night Football on Prime. Herbie had no problem calling out the fanbase and blasting the “vocal minority” of fans, who are an “embarrassment” to the program for turning up the heat.

“By the way, Will Howard taking **** from Ohio State fans. Again, it’s that vocal 10 to 12, 15 percent, A.J. knows what I’m talking about. They’re an embarrassment to the fanbase,” Herbstreit said on the show via On3. Herbie continued to lay it in.

“Will Howard took off and scrambled there. Time got away from him. He’s an amazing kid,” said Herbstreit. “Who I think played pretty well, considering the environment he played in.”

Unfortunately for Howard and Herbstreit, Ohio State fans probably won’t stop lamenting their team’s losses. They’ve been an irritated bunch over the past few seasons, and the Buckeyes constantly coming up short against the premier teams has aggravated them beyond belief.
