After Vanderbilt upset Alabama earlier this season, the Commodores didn’t let everyone forget what Nick Saban said about their fanbase. On Saturday, Livvy Dunne brought the topic back up to the surface.
ESPN invited Dunne, an LSU gymnast and social media sensation, and boyfriend Paul Skenes, a former LSU baseball standout and Major League Baseball All-Star with the Pittsburgh Pirates, to College GameDay. Saturday’s episode of GameDay emanated from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, the home of the LSU Tigers.
During their time on set, Dunne playful jabbed Saban before she picked the Commodores to win their game against South Carolina.

“Someone once said that Vanderbilt was the easiest place to play in the SEC,” Dunne said via Awful Announcing. “But not today. I’m going with Vanderbilt.”
It’s all fair and fun and games after Saban’s comments earlier this year. During an episode of The Pat McAfee Show, Saban dismissed Vanderbilt fans and said their stadium wasn’t very tough to play at. Those words came back to bite the Alabama program after the Commodores upset the Crimson Tide earlier this season. It was arguably the biggest regular-season victory in Vanderbilt program history, as they defeated the then-top-ranked Crimson Tide.
Alabama and LSU will play in a massive Southeastern Conference showdown later Saturday night on ABC in what’s sure to be one of the biggest games of the season.
