Mike Norvell and the Florida State Seminoles sputtered to another defeat on Saturday afternoon. The Memphis Tigers defeated the reeling Seminoles 20-12 to send them spiraling to 0-3 on the season.

FSU’s 0-3 start is historic for all the wrong reasons. The Seminoles are 0-3 for just the third time in program history. Worse for them, and Norvell, is that they’re not unfamiliar with that lately in Tallahassee. This 0-3 start is the second they’ve had under Norvell in the last four seasons.

Back in 2021, Norvell and the ‘Noles began the year 0-3 with losses to Notre Dame, FCS Jacksonville State, and Wake Forest. Those ‘Noles actually started 0-4 on the whole, which this year’s team will look to avoid next time around. Optimism is hard to find though.

Brandon Marcello shined a light on this brutal stat after FSU’s loss on Saturday.

After this post went live, it quickly spread and FSU haters and detractors quickly pounced on it. The Seminoles have gotten skewered lately for their play, so it was a tough go for them and Norvell online after their defeat.
