The Florida State Seminoles are off to a disastrous start to the 2024 college football season. Florida State is both 0-2 and 0-2 against Atlantic Coast Conference opponents. Losses to Georgia Tech and Boston College have all but dried up any hopes for the team this coming year, as things have come undone early for FSU.
The Seminoles are also dealing with a treacherous quarterback situation. D.J. Uiagalalei hasn’t been up to form in his first two games. It got so bad against the Eagles that FSU fans chanted for the backup quarterback, Brock Glenn.
Norvell commented on the chants his team’s fans broke out during the deflating 28-13 loss Monday night.
“That’s part of the game,” Norvell said via On3. “At the end of the day, I mean, there’s — everybody’s gonna have an opinion on what it is. And obviously, you know, it’s playing quarterback, being the coach, being, you know, being a part of a great, great university, great program with high expectations, I mean, it’s our job to go and to play to a high level. And there’s times that you might hear things that you don’t want to hear. You might have to go through, you know, hard and challenging situations and those are all — it’s all part of it.”
Norvell added that he was happy with how Uiagalelei responded and that, due to his experience, he trusted him to work through it. His status as the team’s starting quarterback will continue to be a burning topic in Tallahassee. FSU and its woes are showing no signs of slowing down.
