Ohio State freshman star Jeremiah Smith has been praised unanimously this season. The outstanding young receiver has drawn comparisons to the great Julio Jones. So far, he’s lived up to the billing on a loaded Buckeyes squad hoping to win the National Championship this season.
Smith’s cousin, Geno Smith, an 11-year NFL veteran, recently praised Jeremiah, saying he could become the “best receiver ever.”
Smith talked to CBS Sports reporter Jenny Dell, who will be in Columbus to cover the Buckeyes’ upcoming matchup against the Iowa Hawkeyes. For the star receiver, this is nothing new.
“I feel the same way,” he said. “A lot of people, not only my cousin, a lot of people I grew up around, just playing the game of football around… they’ve been telling me the same thing. It’s nothing new that I’ve heard,” Smith claimed. “But it’s just a big statement for sure and I’ve gotta keep working to be that.”
After @Jermiah_Smith1's sensational debut, his cousin @GenoSmith3 said he's "going to be the BEST receiver ever."

It’s just another day for Smith, who may turn out to be a great receiver on his current track. Ohio State has had a penchant for sending receivers to the NFL, but Smith is a different beast. Time will tell to see how his career shakes out. So far, it’s been nothing short of advertised.
