Paul Finebaum believes in the Georgia Bulldogs.
The top-ranked Dawgs will open the 2024 season against the Clemson Tigers as part of their quest to get back to the summit. Georgia won the 2021 and 2022 College Football Playoff National Championships. This year, Finebaum thinks they’ll make it three titles in four seasons.
Finebaum, Heather Dinich, and Mike Greenberg discussed how they’d forecast the end of the 2024 college football season. The longtime Southeastern Conference personality went with the Dawgs as his pick to win it all in January 2025.

Georgia is one of the best teams in the country, so they’re a safe bet to pick to win the trophy this January. They’ll have to get through a competitive SEC, now boasting Oklahoma and Texas after their official moves this summer. There’s still Alabama, even without legendary coach Nick Saban around, and plenty of other teams.
That said, there’s a reason Finebaum picked them to win the title.
Georgia will open this season on August 31 against Clemson. The Top 15 matchup is expected to be one of college football’s premier nonconference matchups this season. Georgia and Clemson are no stranger, having met earlier this century in the 2010s at the start of the season.
