The No. 3 Penn State Nittany Lions have a chance to improve to 8-0 on the season when they host the No. 4 Ohio State Buckeyes on Saturday.
With a win, Penn State would also widen the gap between themselves and Ohio State, as the Buckeyes would have a second conference loss for the first time since the 2011 season. It would also virtually guarantee that the Big Ten Championship Game will consist of two of Penn State, Indiana, and Oregon, as they’d all be undefeated in conference play while the rest of the schools have two or more losses.
Throughout the week, there was concern about the status of Penn State quarterback Drew Allar, who left last week’s win over the Wisconsin Badgers with an injury in the first half. Backup quarterback Beau Pribula stepped in for Allar and kept the team afloat in the victory. There was speculation that Pribula would be under center again for the squad against the Buckeyes, but that seemingly won’t be the case.
On Friday afternoon, On3’s Pete Nakos reported that multiple sources have told him that Allar will be starting for the Nittany Lions against Ohio State on Saturday.

This season, Allar has been exceptional. He’s gone 117-for-164 for 1,640 passing yards and 12 touchdowns to four interceptions.
Ohio State and Penn State will kick off at Noon ET on Fox as part of the network’s Big Noon Saturday broadcast.
