The Ohio State Buckeyes added one of the top running backs in the transfer portal this offseason in Ole Miss transfer Quinshon Judkins even despite returning one of the top running backs in the country with TreVeyon Henderson coming back for one more year with the team. Obviously, that will mean fewer carries for each of them, but it doesn’t sound like that will be an issue.
During a recent press conference, Quinshon Judkins was asked about the decreased workload that will naturally come along with sharing a backfield with someone as talented as TreVeyon Henderson. And he made it pretty clear that he is unbothered with the number of carries he receives as long as he’s doing what he can to help the team.
“My job is to come in and run football and just be the best teammate that I can be to my teammates and support my team overall,” Judkins said after practice on Wednesday according to On3. “I don’t really focus on how many carries I get or you know, things like that I just come in and just do my job.”
Had Henderson decided to enter the NFL Draft, he would have been one of the top running backs selected. Instead, he’ll return and give the Buckeyes arguably the top running back tandem in the nation.
