The NCAA will make a huge change to the recruiting process.
On Friday, the organization announced that it will be issuing a waiver that will suspend an imposed limit on official visits.
“The NCAA has issued a waiver that suspends the limit on official visits a team can host,” reporter Matt Zenitz said. “Previously, teams had been limited to 70 official visits per cycle. However, teams can now host an unlimited number of official visits through March,” he added.

“At the request of the Division I Football Bowl Subdivision Oversight Committee, the NCAA staff issued a blanket waiver suspending the school limit on the number of official recruiting visits available to FBS members for hosting football prospective student-athletes,” the NCAA announced in a release on its website. “The waiver is effective immediately and is in place for football’s current recruiting cycle (April 1, 2024, through March 31, 2025).”
The NCAA said the waiver was requested so schools could obtain “additional flexibility ” due to a recent run of legislative changes. The previous cap on visits was 70. After this waiver, that limit no longer exists. It’s another change in an ever-changing world.
