The TCU Horned Frogs trolled the Atlantic Coast Conference over where their game will air this weekend. TCU took aim at the ACC and The CW, which air the Horned Frogs’ matchup against the ACC’s SMU Mustangs.
At some point, you had to expect that in this zany world of college athletics, someone was going to poke fun at all of the nonsense. TCU stepped up to the plate and launched a teaser on X that poked fun at their opponent, the conference, and the TV network.
It even featured the famed theme to Dawson’s Creek.

This delightful troll is the latest spat in the Texas rivalry between TCU and SMU. Earlier this week, Dallas Mayor Eric Johnson wore a ‘TCU Sucks’ T-shirt during a city council briefing. It’s also not the first big spat between rivals this season. Earlier this year, a petty war emerged between Western and Eastern Kentucky over the use of white uniforms.
All of this, and we really haven’t even sunk our teeth yet into the major rivalries of the sport. The Civil War and the Apple Cup went down this ast weekend, and while one was a laugher the other became a thriller that went down to the final possession.
College football sure knows how to stir up emotion.
