The Texas Tech Red Raiders announced a new jersey set on Thursday that happens to involve its most famous football alum. Patrick Mahomes helped show off new grey jerseys the Red Raiders will wear this season.
Texas Tech announced the partnership between Mahomes and the football program in a special post on Thursday.
“A partnership unlike any other in college football,” they said.

The jerseys were received well. And as always, anything with Mahomes had people talking. They announced they’ll take the field with them on November 9, when they’re scheduled to face the Colorado Buffaloes. Obviously, that’s quite the spot to debut them against Deion Sanders’ bunch, which features Shedeur Sanders and Heisman Trophy candidate Travis Hunter. If Mahomes shows up for the game, it could be quite the thrill.
Time will tell, but these jerseys sure look great.
