The Utah Utes have had a dreadful stretch of play since the calendar flipped to October.
A once-promising start to the season has seen the Utes fall to 4-3 on the year and 1-3 in Big 12 play, putting them fourth from the bottom of the conference.
Things will look different for the Utes going forward.
On Sunday night, Utah head coach Kyle Whittingham announced that offensive coordinator Andy Ludwig would be stepping down from his role with the team.

“Andy is the consummate professional and we want to thank him for his complete dedication to our program during his 10 total seasons with us,” Whittingham said per The Athletic’s Chris Vannini.
This was Ludwig’s second stint at Utah’s offensive coordinator. He originally served in the role from 2005-08 before taking the same job with the California Golden Bears, San Diego State Aztecs, Wisconsin Badgers, and Vanderbilt Commodores before returning to Utah in 2019.
Utah’s offense is second-worst in the Big 12 this season, averaging 385.9 yards per game and 24 points per game.
The Utes return to action on October 26 when they travel to Houston to take on the Houston Cougars.
