With Miami (FL) and Florida State set to renew their rivalry this Saturday, we look back at Ed Reed’s legendary halftime speech to fire up “The U” in 2001.

The Hurricanes led Florida St. in Tallahassee, 21-13, at halftime, but Reed was far from satisfied. On the way out to the second half, Reed berated his teammates:

“I’m hurt, dawg; don’t ask me if I’m alright! Hell, naw! [Offensive tackle] Joaquin [Gonzalez] said, ‘Dominate,’ and we not doing it! I’m putting my heart in this sh*t! Let’s go, man!”

Miami went on to win the game, 49-27, and the 2001 national championship.
